Reflection in the chaos

Reflection in the chaos

Life is a blur for us most of the time. There are endless kid/school events, someone in the family is often traveling or out late at a meeting, work opportunities come up last minute and other appointments are constantly shifting around. After a stretch of such recent chaos, I noticed the fridge was getting close to empty and the car was nearly out of gas. Cue the rapid heart beats. And that's exactly when I knew I needed to STOP for a moment and belly breathe in the I GET TO. I GET TO see what's in the back of the cupboard and be creative in how I cook with it. I GET TO gas my car up to full (when I was younger I didn't always have that luxury). I GET TO grocery shop at my favorite store and at great local farmers markets (when I have time again). I GET TO be there for nearly all of both my son's performances. I GET TO record voiceovers at amazing studios. I GET TO just barely keep up sometimes, and there is beauty in that messy hustle. It also makes those moments WE GET to sit back and rest together so much sweeter.
